  • This project asked the question: 'How do we mission and ministry with those who are strangers in their own land--strangers by political, economic and in some instances religious system? What can the General Board of Global Missions of the United Methodist Church do to become more pragmatic and faithful to the call? The study utilized biblical and literary research. An African reading of Exodus was explored and engaged. The project also took into account many trips the author made to refugee camps throughout Sub-Saharan Africa in his responsibility as Regional Executive Secretary for Sub-Saharan Africa at the General Board of Ministries of the United Methodist Church responsible for assigning and managing the work of all mission personnel assigned to Africa.
