Abstract
  • Church-related preschools have been referred to as outreach ministries; often, however, they become out of reach, as the preschool becomes its own entity, with little relation to clergy or congregation. Recognizing the faith needs of families with young children, five congregations in Naples, Florida, formed a consortium to develop and implement a collaboratively designed project, utilizing pre- and post-testing to determine attitudinal changes regarding preschool ministry as an avenue to community evangelism. Through this ecumenical endeavor, congregations experienced a renewed vision of evangelism: a response to God's call to reach out with Christ's message of hope and love.
