Abstracto

This research paper primarily investigates the causes for re-conversion of certain Christian converts in Gujarat who renounced their Christian identity and returned to the Hindu faith. This investigation was done by interviewing Christian converts who faced pressure for reconverting to Hinduism, but remained consistent in their Christian faith, as well as reconverts that reconverted to Hinduism from the Christian identity as they faced pressure. The conclusion is that re-conversion events in South Gujarat have not affected church growth. The author challenges the churches and mission agencies to be mindful of their negligence as they make efforts for church planting.
