  • The research hypothesis stated that discipleship training involving intentional mentoring could enable participants to be more involved in spiritual and evangelistic activities than non-mentored participants. The hypothesis was tested in India by developing and implementing a discipleship training program with mentoring. The project involved training two groups of students called mentoring and non-mentoring. After fifteen weeks of discipleship training, test scores indicated that the mentored group had an edge over the non-mentored. It was concluded from the results that intentional mentoring enhanced the spiritual as well as the evangelistic activities of the discipleship trainees.
