  • This ministry project conducted in Los Angeles Crenshaw Baptist Church was an attempt to reach out to the Chinese community in the South Bay area of southern California. After locating Chinese families from telephone directories, the outreach effort included telephone calls, direct mail and door-to-door visitation. These activities were conducted with the hope that church members would be trained to reach out to the community through different means, and would generate opportunities to share the gospel and to increase church attendance. As a result of the project Crenshaw Church located 124 Chinese families and experienced a 50 per cent increase in worship service attendance as compared with the same period in the previous year.
