  • This project explores the social-psychological effects of the inner-city. It develops a theological rationale for inner-city ministry based upon the imago dei, kingdom of God, and the incarnation. Based on the thesis that faith in a kind, loving, and accessible God and a healthy self-esteem provide two of the most powerful resources for withstanding the assaults of the inner-city, this project also develops, implements, and evaluates a test of the faith and self-esteem needs of inner-city children in order to increase the effectiveness of Destination Recovery in Tulsa, oklahoma.
