Abstract
  • The purpose of this paper is to define West African pedagogical principles that can be applied to pastoral training. Cultural principles of teaching, learning, and leading are drawn from ethnological studies of West African cultural teaching events, African philosophical definition of knowledge and wisdom, and cultural expectations of leadership. The study provides seventeen biblically sound and culturally based principles for teaching, learning, and leading in an African training institute. The paper describes how the leaders of the Guinea church and pastor's training school applied the principles to the Telekoro Bible Institute, Guinea, West Africa.
