Abstract
  • This project investigates the relation between selected Lucan healing narratives and the faith stories of members of a rural congregation struggling to maintain a therapeutic gospel in their social context. The word of God of God embodied in narrative sermons continues the ministry of Jesus the healer. As the people of God are enabled to name the occasions when they have been touched by the healing power of narrative they are empowered to proclaim the Good News in Jesus Christ.
