Abstrait

The purpose of this project was to make the pulpit ministry of the First Baptist Church stronger and more responsive to the needs of people by identifying needs and assessing needs-based preaching. Chapter two researched the theological, historical, and biblical foundation for needs-based preaching. A great foundation supports pastoral ministry and gives guidance and inspiration to needs-based preaching. Chapter three explored basic human needs and the order in which they must be met before persons consider other higher needs. The chapter informs the church and clergy on how to identify personal needs. Chapter four tells the story of how the church participated identifying needs and assessing needs-based preaching. Chapter five evaluates the project and gives recommendations concerning needs-based preaching.
