  • This project seeks to develop in practical ways the dialogue between narrative theology and the educational strategies of shared praxis. It begins with a historical review of initiation into the Christian Church and includes an extended section of infant baptism. The theological stance based on covenant responsibilities and God's grace through Jesus Christ supports infant baptism. The philosophical arguments involve how we know and communicate reality. The experiential focus of the confirmation model contrasts with the more popular 'workbook' model. Experience of the church (ecclesia) replaces the workbook.
