  • The homogeneous unit principle is one of the most important elements in Donald Anderson McGavran's church growth theory. The case study for this project is of African Evangelical Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Texas. The researcher conducted interviews of church members. The information obtained from members provided proof that the church was started on an ethnic, linguistic, social, and cultural premise and was experiencing five percent annual growth. The researcher is convinced thta the parameters have been met which are necessary to revisit the homogeneous unit principle.
