This project presents a peer learning program for preachers, based on a printed manual and a videotape of sample homilies. In nine sessions the program deals with the nature and purpose of the liturgical homily, qualities of outstanding preaching, creativity, preaching the Scriptures, the preacher's faith, understanding the congregation, preaching the prophetic word, and preaching on occasions such as weekday eucharists, weddings, funerals, and children's liturgies. The manual includes questions for group discussion, workshop activities, and suggestions for the following group meeting. Presence of an instructor is not required.
