  • While children's small groups are certainly the appropriate format for children's ministry in a 'cell group church,' the concepts behind them have relevance in any church. The relational family style of nurturing can be traced through the biblical models. It should be the way the whole church relates to its children. Throughout the history of education, a relational strand of children's instruction has paralleled the formal instruction mode. Experiments in various countries have shown that group styles of ministry are successful with children. The children's small group is described in detail and in the appendices some training models are included.
