Abstrait

The purpose of the project was to train the Sunday school leadership in skills to assist them in assimilating new members into the life of the church. Chapter 1 shares the background of the project. It gives the history of the church, the demographics of the area and the purpose of the project. Chapter 2 presents the biblical, theological and historical perspectives of the use of education to assimilate. Chapter 3 deals with the sociological factors of assimilation and how they would apply to the local church. Chapters 4 and 5 cover the actual project. The results of the project were the training of the Sunday School leadership in different ways to minister to newcomers. The leadership was better able to understand the problems associated with assimilation.
