Abstracto

Unresolved grief in the lives of clergy diminishes their personal and professional functioning. This project presents a process to help ordained clergy deal with their grief in order to strengthen their ministry. The author's personal grief journey is shared with the purpose of discerning its effect on the person and profession of an ordained clergyperson. The project's methodology involves colleagues in group therapy, responses to questionnaires, and resources and bibliographical data to find ways of support for caregivers and their grief journeys. This project integrates process theology and pastoral care with psychological data from family systems developmental authors.
