- Boundary training is provided for clergy alone, leaving congregations with limited knowledge about church safety and how to strengthen the partnership between pastor and parish. Therefore, Weinhold created a 'Healthy Boundaries' curriculum including a participant's manual for churches. Utilizing an evaluative research design, a one day workshop was offered to 12 lay persons and pastors. The workshop progressed from personal to pastoral to legal boundaries. Data analysis employed the spiral steps of qualitative research authored by Leedy and Ormord (2005). Results concluded that boundary training for churches would create safer sanctuaries and strengthen the bond between church and clergy.
