  • The purpose of this project was to explore the viability of using selected hymns by Charles Wesley to teach Wesleyan concepts in the modern congregation. The project leader chose hymns for their theological content and their presentations of grace. The hymns were sung during morning worship and the project leader led a discussion group following worship. The project report contains context and setting for conducting the research, congregational history, strategies for presenting the project, and the project leader's own theory of ministry, expectations and goals. Wesleyan theology and views of scripture are offered along with other theological support. Chapters five and six contain the major findings of the project, along with evaluation instruments used, observations and assessments, suggestions for further study and ideas for implementation.
