- This project proposes a 12-week adult study to enable church members to encounter the witness of Scripture while reflecting on social, political, economic, technological, and environmental issues. Eleven members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Midland, Mich) assist in developing the model and preparing a workbook for the course, testing and evaluating it with two study groups in the congregation. The course produces changes in participants' understandings and values, enhances theological comprehension, and reinforces the relationship between faith and action.
