Abstract
  • This project proposes that recently employed campus ministers pursue closeness and likeness to Christ for themselves and others through an intentional program of spiritual formation. Methods of formation and application include using inventories and assessments; exploring resources, studies, and guides to practices in retreat settings; weekly communication (including journal entries) between participants and peer mentor; committing to Sabbath-keeping, developing a Rule of Life, and formulating a strategy for investing in the lives of student leaders. The project resulted in the development of an on-going program of spiritual formation within the Center for Collegiate Ministry that forms leaders who form leaders.
