  • Modern-day stress is no respecter of persons. The crunch and crisis of daily living is taking its toll on the religious as well as the non-religious. This adult study manual is designed to achieve two goals. First, there is a non-technical description of the dynamics of stress and its impact on the human body, mind, and spirit. Second, the material helps the reader understand that a practical application of Christian principles aids the prevention of chronic stress and promotion of mental health. The basic theological assumption is that the Christian faith is an absolute necessity for restoring human wholeness and wellness, and that Christian education is a practical means of promoting mental hygiene. The primary thrust of the manual is to demonstrate that as believers rely upon resources of divine power and apply the practical 'life principles' exemplified and taught by Jesus Christ, they receive grace, wisdom, and strength from God to emerge as victors rather than victims.
