The workshop goal was to provide clergy exposure to conflict management theory as it relates to local congregations. The project appears in six chapters. Chapters I, II and III deal with observed conflict, biblical themes and shaping the workshop respectively. Chapter IV is the project and evaluation of the project. Chapter V suggests that the United Methodist Church has built into its political system a creative tension (conflict) which requires knowledge of conlflict management. The final chapter is summary in nature.
