- Using a researcher developed tool this exploratory study examines the relationship between inclusive language and God concept by comparing inclusive and non-inclusive groups. Similarities and differences between the groups are compared and analyzed. Significant findings include the following: (1) The inclusive group viewed God as significantly less paternal but no more maternal than the non-inclusive group; (2) The non-inclusive group was significantly more orthodox theologically; (3) There is a correlation between participant's childhood perceptions of their relationship with their fathers, their view of God, and their use of inclusive language.
