  • The objectives were: (1) share common concerns for human needs and work together for peace; (2) design a framework for effective dialogue; (3) draw upon connections between Islam and Christianity to improve dialogue and peacemaking; (4) explore common commitments to peacemaking; and (5) consider the possibility of establishing Muslim-Christian community groups to respond to injustices. The pro-active and action research methods were used. The research discovered that when people shared common concerns about human sufferings/needs, they can work together for peace and reconciliation. When God's people dialogue, there is opportunity for peacemaking, reconciliation and sustainable development.
