Abstract
  • In response to Christ's commandments, the Korean Presbyterian Church of Saginaw defines its mission and goal that are viable in the present social milieu. This thesis delineates the evolution of the church from its inception to its resolution to support an African-American community church and its first steps towards realizing that goal. The author and the congregation hope that the fruits of this mission will manifest themselves in enhancing a mutual understanding between two racial groups, in liberating the Korean immigrants from the wall of isolation, and in revitalizing faith, ultimately effecting the 'transformation of a small pond' into a fount.
