  • The purpose of this project was to involve the members of Northside Baptist Church (Slidell, Louisiana) in an effective means of identifying unchurched prospects in the community. Through historical research, a thesis was developed that direct mail and telemarketing were suitable methods for prospect identification. A program was developed to involve church members in mailing letters and making telephone calls to new homeowners and residents who lived within two miles of the church. An evaluation of the program revealed that church members could use direct mail and telemarketing to identify unchurched prospects.
