Formative care affirms that streams of pastoral care and spiritual formation, converging in a lay system of caring, will be spiritually enriching for both caregivers and receivers. The author studied the areas of pastoral care, spiritual formation, and Wesleyan practice, and applied principles to the local congregation through trained caregivers.
