- Abstract
- This project aimed to develop a ministry strategy for the family ministry of Stone Ridge Baptist Church, Alexander City, Alabama. First, I examined the attendance records of Stone Ridge to identify family units and developed and distributed a survey to parents to discover the spiritual needs of families. Second, I explored existing family ministry literature, interviewed two pastors, and determined the best practices of existing family ministry strategies. Third, I recruited and trained a strategy planning team of five church members who assisted me in developing a family ministry strategy for Stone Ridge using the internal audit of attendance records, survey results, and a list of best practices in family ministry. Fourth, I presented the family ministry strategy to the senior pastor and a group of selected parents for consideration. During the implementation of the project, I sought to increase my knowledge of family ministry and my skills in strategy development and help Stone Ridge strategically minister to families.
