Abstract
  • This project was designed to lead a local church through the discovery of transitions necessary to transform attitudes and methods for ministry in the midst of congregational growth. The process, which grew out of the experience of a local church in transition, resulted in a workbook which assists the local church in identifying issues essential for change to occur. Chapter 9 and the appendix summarize the process experienced at Forrest Memorial United Methodist Church (Hurricane, West Virginia). The results showed a new vision of shared ministry in a context of transition in order to facilitate continual congregational growth.
