- This project proposes that significant incidents in ministry contribute to the spirituality of female lay ministers in their evolving relationship with and response to God. Through the lens of transformative learning theory the project interviews in depth several Canadian lay ministers who are professionally trained and extensively experienced in their work. Significant incidents in their experience of ministry have led to greater understanding and awareness of spirituality, have promoted continuing spiritual formation, and have opened up new spiritual directions for these lay ministers.
