  • This writer's purpose and goal for this project was to make an argument for developing mentoring teams or mentors on the United Methodist Church district level. The author randomly surveyed all twelve districts of the North Carolina Annual Conference and found that mentoring was desperately needed. Research validated and affirmed that mentoring was not available in any formal structure for ministers beyond ordination. A real case study with a mentoring team, practical helps, resources and personal stories were included. Healthy ministers, with God's help, make for healthy churches.
