  • This research was to discover the current practice of pastors to involve others in the reconciliation process to those who have fallen into sin or have been divisive. Ten pastors were interviewed about membership, visitor follow-up, involvement without pastors, and restoration of those who left one church for another local church. They were exposed to concepts involving the greater church body in the restoration process especially when there had been immorality or divisiveness. It was found that local pastors do not usually communicate well concerning an ex-member's personal sin and seldom talk about people that have come from another local fellowship.
