Abstrait

The purpose of this project was to develop the director's skill in the use of application in his preaching to the Korean Baptist Church of New Orleans. The director researched the field of application in preaching through reviewing the Bible, searching publications about application in preaching, consulting experts, studying sermon examples, and conducting interviews with experienced preachers. The director reflected on the use of application in preaching to find general functions and principles of application and then developed a series of sermons that demonstrated the use of applications in preaching. Evaluations of the project were derived from evaluation sheets on application for the congregation and from consultation of experts and field mentors, utilizing checklists to measure applications in preaching.
