Abstrait

The church can put together a comprehensive program to provide for the needs of older people who live in the core city. This service can be coordinated with existing services, including referrals. The Bethel Center Baptist Church developed such a program. The people were asked what they needed and then the church developed the program. Most older people want to live in their own home as long as possible. The program developed by the church has been successful in helping older people to maintain good quality of life while living in their own homes well into their eighties and early nineties.
