Abstract
  • The church is contributing to the struggle to find Sunday School teachers with the perception we allowed our teaching ministry to slip into: we need just volunteers to teach. In this paper, the author addresses the question, 'How does reframing volunteer to disciple impact and revitalize the teaching ministry of the church?' Through intentional focus groups and conversations to changing the Sunday School vernacular and the purpose of teachers' meetings, the author offers changes that will impact the view of Sunday School and the role of teachers as the teaching ministry is intentionally reframed around discipleship.
