- Abstract
- This project documents expansion of missions education and involvement of Grace Baptist Church through an annual missionary conference. During a ten-week period a program of preaching augmented by development and presentation of a missions curriculum culminates in a five-day missionary conference. Missions education is accomplished through teaching in small groups and coeducational classes, field reports of missionaries, and expository preaching of missions texts. Missions involvement of church members is measured by participation in meetings, acceptance of partnership in unit missions projects in Sunday School, entrance into a one-year prayer covenant with a missionary family, and commitment to weekly financial missions support. The conference presents missions information and inspiration through multimedia field reports, skits, testimonies, music, and speakers who offer a biblical challenge to missions involvement.
