Abstract
  • This project presents an interpretative approach to adult Christian education in the local church, seeking to help students discover meaning by intersecting existential concerns of daily living with the traditions of revealed Christian faith. Based on an educational triad of formation, transformation, and vocation, the project analyzes practical examples from the author's experience with respect to goals, teacher-learner interactions, and educational instrumentalities. The project recommends narrative theology, a communal way of knowing, and a Christian form of existential inquiry as valuable resources for adult Christian education in a postmodern context.
