Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to lead the board of Elders of Risen Christ Lutheran Church through a biblical teaching on encouragement. Research on the life of Christ and other materials on encouragement resulted in a manual consisting of five subjects pertaining to encouragement. One of the goals was to obtain an understanding of encouragement that goes beyond the general idea of simply being positive or affirming. The lessons included: servant-leadership, the power of the spoken word, and the importance of actions, process, and conflict management in providing biblical encouragement and Christian maturity.
