This author researched the connections between spirituality and aging with fifty healthy elderly adults in a continuing care retirement community. The participants were religiously diverse, including some unaffiliated with either a church or synagogue. Using a questionnaire, residents were interviewed regarding their sources of hope and comfort, religious participation, spiritual practices, psychological age and fear of death.
