- This project proposes to lead Southfield Christian Fellowship, a one-year-old Southern Baptist cell church mission, toward constituting as an autonomous church body by initiating a required orientation and assimilation process through which all charter and future members must come. Member candidates will affirm or reaffirm faith in Christ, learn Southfield's distinctives, and begin relating meaningfully with a Southfield home cell called a LifeGroup. The distinctives of this project lie in its philosophy of membership and its emphasis on relating over educating. Facts are clearly presented in the form of a self-guided study booklet, but friendships and a feeling of belonging are priorities.
