- Abstract
- The doctrine of the atonement serves as the foundation for Christian discipleship. Every Christian is called to enter into the church for the purpose of serving Christ in the world. But there is a gap between the calling and the fulfillment of the calling which can only be filled by intentional education for discipleship. Praxis education methodologies help fill this gap between calling and fulfillment. Using a core committee, a praxis education experience was designed and implemented in an attempt to provide an alternative to teacher/curriculum centered education in the local church. Growth in discipleship was a measureable consequence.
