Abstracto

This is a study of health care providers' criteria for value decisions in relation to perinatal choices. One hundred health care workers were presented with twenty-two cases requiring both an action decision and a value justification for the action. This test was given pre and post a six-week course in perinatal management. Key finding was that health care providers make decisions based mostly on philosophical grounds rather than on technical/medical issues.
