Abstracto

The present study had as its primary purpose the evaluation of the Ministerial Support Program determined to promote and impove the communication in marriage in the ecclesiastical context of the Nuevo Amanecer Church in Chicago Heights. The design of the investigation consisted of three phases: in the first phase, the two independent variables selected for this study were examined. These variables were 'levels of communication' and 'communication competence', and were examined with a sample of thirty married couples. The second phase consisted of the development of the Ministerial Support Program. The third phase was evaluative and proposed measuring the impact of the program through the accomplishments in marital communication that were obtained by the participating couples. Two hypotheses were established and proven true in the project: a) there is a relationship between having participated systematically in the Ministerial Support Program, and the change produced in the communication of the married couples, and b) communication improves with the participation in the Ministerial Support Program.
