This project motivates members of Central Baptist Church to become more involved in alleviating the problem of substance abuse in Hendersonville, Tennessee, through establishing an active Christian Life Committee. Investigation reveals that substance abuse affects a significant number of people in the geographical area of the church, and the congregation realizes its biblical, theological, and historical imperatives for responding to this social crisis.
