  • The objective of the project was to provide a climate for motivating each staff member to maximize his or her spiritual gifts and personality strengths in the performance of his or her job. The author conducted seven sessions with the staff of Union Baptist Association in Norman, Oklahoma which provided the foundational concepts of his system. The theological bases included a positive view of redeemed man and the subsequent gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit on believers. The theoretical bases were the bi-polar view of personality, teamship considered as a management style and affirmation (positive reinforcement) as the primary motivator. The result was a viable alternative to the negatively reinforced staff management models of business and bureaucracy.
