Abstract
  • The project focused on the development and training of a twenty member team in the systematic use of existing denominational (Southern Baptist) materials to assist in new member assimilation in one congregation. Training effectiveness was measured with multiple choice tests, and pre/posttesting, resulting in an 88 percent increase in team members' understanding of their role in new member assimilation. The project leader's effectiveness as an instructor and 'ministry sharer' was measured by a scaled Instructor Evaluation instrument and a partial Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis. The leader was rated an effective instructor and excellent in interpersonal relationship skills.
