This thesis is to provide information and understanding concerning the cultural and psychological background of marriage and family problems among Korean immigrants in the United States for the therapist or pastor who works with Korean marriages and family problems. For the therapist or pastor to work effectively with Korean marriages and family problems in the United States, understanding of both Korean and American lifestyles and personalities are essential.
