This project was to equip female leaders for small group ministry at First Chinese Baptist Church of Phoenix. Five leaders were selected and equipped in cognitive ability, skills and affect for six months. This equipping process included six training sessions, implementing the core elements of small group ministry: effective leadership, good community environment, balanced small group activities into the small groups and individual monthly mentoring. All the leaders demonstrated spiritual growth and improved their understanding of the concepts and practical skills of doing small group ministry. The core elements of small group ministry also helped to overcome some Chinese cultural issues.
