The purpose of this project was to establish some foundations of motivation and education upon which the members of Capital City Baptist Church could develop an outreach ministry that engages in urban evangelism. Two ministry emphases were utilized. A seven-sermon series was preached October-November of 1989. An urban evangelism workshop was conducted in December 1989, and again in February 1990. All ministry activities were evaluated through participant questionnaires. The evaluations indicated that both ministry emphases were necessary and that effective preparations had been achieved.
