The manual entitled 'Discovering Youth Ministry in the Smaller Church' is an attempt to enhance and encourage youth ministry in the smaller church. It does this by providing ideological and practical principles to guide youth ministry in the smaller church. It challenges the smaller church to evaluate its own youth ministry program and philosophy as well as suggests multiple ideas to implement in the youth programs. Each chapter ends with a very useful assignment for the reader to complete with direct application to his/her own youth ministry circumstances. It is a resource the smaller church pastor and youth worker will appreciate for its insights and affirmation. It includes the results of a survey taken by Baptist General Conference smaller church pastors on the issue of youth ministry in their churches. This manual is unique in its focus on the solo pastor and youth work in the smaller church.
