- This thesis demonstrates how using first-person narrative preaching can address biblical literacy in the context of worship. Biblical research was conducted providing theological rationale and background information allowing pastors to see how a first-person narrative sermon is constructed. The author reviewed literature germane to the subject. A project was developed to take pastors through the process of understanding the problem and creating a solution. A workshop was presented to a group of pastors and written feedback was received. After receiving feedback, the author provided the results along with personal reflections and recommendations for future workshops.
